Its aim is to give global and personalized care of a rehabilitative form to those people, who come from their family nucleus or other services, such as group or community homes. The occupational centre attends to people over the age of 18 years with a degree of reduction of 65% or greater according to The EVO (Evaluation and Orientation Team) of the Department for Work, Social and Family Affairs.
The Occupational Therapy Service (OTS) has the role of personal and social adjustment and therapeutic occupation. Thus, it offers to the people being attended to one of the foundations´ own activity plans in which the users can choose what they most like or what suits their needs. The activities are sports, creative, cognitive, manipulative, etc. and transversally work the personal adjustment aspects to improve self- knowledge and emotional management skills. On a therapeutic level, the pursuit of habits which promote the person´s autonomy, personal satisfaction, self-esteem and collaboration among the peer group and monitors are encouraged and worked on, creating a more relaxed working environment and attending to each person´s characteristics.
Insertion Occupational Support (IOS) , has the role of personal and social adjustment and pre-work activities, with a similar function to OTS but directed at people who show a better work capacity and a potential to access an unprotected work situation in the future, possibly through a partially supported position or through a SEC, within the protected working environment but with contractual conditions and a salary for the worker.
Within this inclusive approach and the community, we continue in collaboration with other entities such as the council and schools, institutes or other centres specialised in mental health, disability, the elderly or animal protection groups, creating mutual collaboration synergies which finally bring closer the realities and differences for a better coexistence and greater respect.
